[2nd EDIT: A friend sent me this statement that appears on the back of one of Benny Hinn’s books from 2009: “In addition, he [Benny Hinn] is founder of Benny Hinn School of Ministry, now with more than 11,000 students, offering a cooperative relationship with Liberty University in college-level studies.” This is getting curiouser and curiouser.]
[EDIT: LU has issued a statement that the university has not partnered with Benny Hinn. Note the discrepancy in the name of the course of study as mentioned by Benny Hinn ministries and as mentioned in the press release.]
When I first saw this video, I thought surely it was an April Fools’ joke. But I watched it carefully. Twice. And the men are evidently serious. Liberty University is partnering with Benny Hinn to offer “biblical training” for pastors. As “Pastor Benny” puts it,
Liberty will train them and he will ordain them.
You can’t make this stuff up. Watch for yourself and consider the end to which pragmatism leads, even when it sells its agenda as “reach[ing] this world for Christ” (Dan Reber at the 10:25 mark).
