My first response is I wonder if Dr. Ascol would be upset if Dr. Sullivan sent, to every Pastor, a series of sermons by Dr. Mark Dever or Dr. John Piper? Though I cannot speak for Dr. Ascol, my own guess is he would not.

In fact, he may have written a post praising Dr. Sullivan’s gracious generosity and perhaps even suggesting he knew of no greater use of God’s money than having Pastors exposed to these giants of the faith.

Also, he may have suggested that it looks likes things are turning around for the good because when a state convention recognizes popular Calvinists, there is hope for the convention! I’m unsure, but I thought I’d make a guess, anyway.
